Do Christians have to obey the Old Testament law?

The Law, The Sabbath and the Festivals were all given to point us to Jesus. The Law, The Sabbath and the Festivals are a “shadow”, but in Christ we have the “substance”. Why pursue the shadows when we have the reality of Jesus Christ right before us?
